Queenie-B Honey is operated by Doug at West City Farm, Willamette Valley, Oregon. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Queenie-B Honey. You can reach us at hello@queeniebhoney.com.

We collect information you provide directly when you:

  • Place an order (name, shipping address, email, payment information)
  • Subscribe to email updates (email address, name)
  • Submit a contact form (name, email, message content)
  • Apply for a wholesale account (business name, contact details)
  • Register for a farm visit or beekeeping course waitlist

We do not collect payment card information directly � payment processing is handled by our payment processor (currently National Bankcard / Authorize.net), which operates under its own PCI-compliant systems.

We also collect technical data automatically when you use our website, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This is standard web server log data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill orders
  • Communicate about orders, shipping, and returns
  • Send email newsletters (only if you opted in)
  • Respond to questions and inquiries
  • Manage wholesale and farm visit relationships
  • Improve our website and understand how visitors use it

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Email Marketing

If you subscribe to our newsletter or promotional emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by emailing us directly. We process unsubscribe requests within 5 business days.

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to operate our business:

  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx): We share your name and address to fulfill orders.
  • Payment processor (National Bankcard / Authorize.net): We share transaction data necessary to process payments.
  • Email service provider: We use an email platform to manage newsletter subscriptions. That provider receives email addresses and names for subscribed contacts.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or social media platforms for targeting purposes.

6. Data Retention

Order records are retained for seven years for tax and accounting purposes. Email subscription records are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us directly � we will delete what we can while retaining what we are legally required to keep.

7. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies. We use a session cookie to maintain your shopping cart between pages. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that share your data with outside parties.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time

We use HTTPS on all pages of this website. Payment data is handled exclusively by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

10. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
